The Event: BizX 2024
BizX is an annual, three-day event hosted by ActionCOACH UK, allowing thousands of business owners and entrepreneurs to gather, network and listen to inspiring speakers from the world of business and beyond.
The first day provides the opportunity to meet fellow business leaders with welcome drinks. The following two days focus more on sharing valuable knowledge, strategies and innovative ideas to further grow the businesses of the attendees. Over the years, incredible speakers have shared their stories and insights, including Steven Bartlett, Deborah Meaden, Lord Sebastian Coe and Mary Portas.
The BizX awards ceremony celebrates wins for businesses of all sizes across the country. With 19 awards up for grabs, it’s always an honour to even be nominated. Topped off with an evening of entertainment including dancing, live music and casino tables, it’s an event you don’t want to miss!
TrustistTransfer: Processing Payments at BizX
As long-term partners of ActionCOACH, we were thrilled that they had chosen to use TrustistTransfer as a payment method throughout BizX 2024!
Described as “Seamless – so quick and easy to use!” by one user, the platform was used for two primary functions during the event:
- The sale of books written by speakers at the event, such as Deborah Meaden
- Donations to The ActionCOACH Foundation
The ActionCOACH Foundation was created to guide philanthropic organisations and future entrepreneurs to success by providing free worldwide education and empowerment programs. Speaking during the event, Craig Jackson (UK Partnerships Director at ActionCOACH) even commented on the platform being “so easy for us to use both for selling books but also taking donations for the ActionCOACH Foundation”.
As another great way of raising money, The ActionCOACH Foundation partnered with The Frank Bruno Foundation to offer a once-in-a-lifetime prize – winners get to spend a day with boxing legend, Frank Bruno, receiving training, one-on-one sparring practice and even the opportunity to get to know the man himself over dinner!
To facilitate this, an auction was held, inviting everyone to remain standing until their desired bid amount had passed. In the end, £50,000 was raised between 10 lucky winners – 5 of which processed their £5,000 payments through TrustistTransfer. The money raised during the auction will be split between both foundations, going on to improve the lives of young people across the country in a multitude of ways.
Our Impact
During the event, over £35,000 of donations were processed through the TrustistTransfer system. This is incredible and we can’t wait to see how these donations are used to nurture the future of business!
One of the attendees who donated during the event, which took place in a conference centre, commented on how they were “so impressed that in a location with not great signal, so many people were able to scan to make a donation!”.
After processing their payment using TrustistTransfer, one of the winners said “How clever! I didn’t know this tech was even a thing!”. Another even mentioned how they would be seizing the opportunity and will be “signing up to use this for my business!”.
One of the key attractions of an event like BizX is the incredible guest speakers in attendance and, after each session, attendees are given the opportunity to purchase one of the many books written by each of them to continue the learning journey.
Throughout the event, almost £1,000 of book sales were processed using TrustistTransfer and after buying a copy of Brad Sugars’ (founder of ActionCOACH) book, another customer said “I found it really easy to use. It certainly made making the payment quick and easy!”.
We were extremely happy to see everything running smoothly and to have made a contribution to what was, as always, an outstanding event!
