Overview #
The TrustistEcommerce WordPress Plugin enables seamless integration with Trustist’s payment gateway, facilitating transactions through Open Banking (UK only), credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. This plugin is designed to work with popular customer interaction plugins like Gravity Forms and WooCommerce.

Installation #
- Download the TrustistEcommerce plugin from trustist-ecommerce-wordpress-plugin.
- In your WordPress admin dashboard, navigate to Plugins > Add New.
- Click Upload Plugin and select the downloaded ZIP file.
- Click Install Now, and then Activate the plugin once the installation is complete.
Configuration #
Accessing the Settings #
- In your WordPress admin dashboard, navigate to Settings > TrustistEcommerce.
- You will see the TrustistEcommerce settings page with sections for Live API Keys and Sandbox API Keys.

This section provides a general overview and instructions for obtaining your API keys.
Live API Keys #
Input your live API keys to configure the plugin for live transactions:
- Live Public Key: Enter your live public key.
- Live Private Key: Enter your live private key.
Sandbox API Keys #
Input your sandbox API keys to test the plugin setup before going live:
- Sandbox Public Key: Enter your sandbox public key.
- Sandbox Private Key: Enter your sandbox private key.
Connection Status #
The plugin will automatically check the connection status with Trustist’s servers and display the following information:
- Connection status: Indicates whether the connection is successful or failed.
- Merchant name: Displays the merchant name if the connection is successful.
- Last updated: Shows the last time the connection status was updated.
- Cards enabled: Indicates whether card payments are enabled.
Updating API Keys #
When you update the API keys, the plugin will attempt to connect to Trustist’s servers and retrieve merchant details. The connection status, merchant name, and card availability will be updated accordingly.
Advanced Features #
Debugging and Logs #
The plugin logs key events and errors to help with debugging. These logs can be accessed through the WordPress dashboard or directly from the server.
